This service requires that you travel to the Iranian Affairs Office in Washington DC because you have to be finger printed there. However, before you travel there, we can help you register your request through Mikhak System, obtain an appointment and assist you with document preparation.

It is mandatory for Iranians over 15 years old living outside of Iran to obtain their National ID Card (NID).

In order to obtain your NID, you must also have a valid Iranian Birth Certificate that has a picture. If you do not have your birth certificate, you can apply for one before getting your NID.

When applying for a NID, you must have provide an address and a phone number in Iran from your friends or relatives.

They will receive a text message when your NID is ready for delivery.  Make sure have you have a valid postal code with the address.

Since NID's are issued in Iran, your documents will be sent to Iran by the Office of Iranian Affairs and they will send you the NID once they have received it back from Iran.
